Yao Anlian won the 38th Montreal World Film Festival (MWFF) Best Actor Award on Monday night for his role in Factory Boss, the only Chinese film in the World Competition - Feature Films category of this year's festival. Yao is the first Chinese actor to win Best Actor at the MWFF since Fan Wei won the award in 2004 for his role in The Parking Attendant in July.

Today (April 2) is the “World Autism Day”. On March 30, another public-service film ‘Xihe’ that is invested and shot in Shenzhen and directed by Shenzhen local director was smoothly in the can at Yucai No. 1 Primary School. The film is adapted from a true story that 19 parents in Shenzhen signed a letter requiring the school to lay off an autistic student, and is invested by Shenzhen Huahao Culture Media Co., Ltd. An autistic child and his mother’s struggle for life as well as their desire for normal education were presented in front of the audience for the first time. Since then, there is another film that adds care for a special group in Shenzhen. The film is scheduled to release before the Spring Festival this year.
