Born in Hunan province in 1965, Zhang Wei is an entrepreneur with more than 10 years of experience in the business world. His passion in art and cinema led him to invest in the production of the film Zheng Chenggong Heros (The Sino-Dutch War 1661) in 2000, which won Huabiao prix for the best film. Zhang studied directing at the Beijing Film Academy as well as cinema at the Institute of Research of Chinese Arts. He directed his first feature film, Shadow, in 2011, then in 2013 Factory Boss. His third feature, Xi He, is currently in post-production.His work seeks to depict a natural and bare view of the destiny of ordinary people against the speed of the changes in the Chinese society.
Based on the entrepreneurship story of a private entrepreneur in Shenzhen, ‘Working Boss’ reflects the difficulties faced by contemporary Chinese private entrepreneurs.
‘Hero Zheng Chenggong’ is directed by China’s famous director Wu Ziniu, starring Japanese actress Yoko Shimada, Jiang Qinqin and Du Zhiguo, etc.

In 2011, the company shot the film ‘Shadow’, which is a story that a 72-years-old shadow artist applied for the world cultural heritage.
